Suyo has skyrocketed to the top of one of my favourite restaurants in Vancouver. Modern take on Peruvian cuisine which brings together not just delicious food for sharing, but an atmosphere and service that makes it a perfect place to take a date. Recently celebrated a birthday dinner and will be going back for more. Recommend that you get at least one cocktail as you will not be disappointed.

I’ve experienced many a tasting menu...and this was the only one that left me satiated in all aspects. Incredible food, presentation, service and a delight to all the senses. Tasting menu is , but well worth it. Appreciated the individual servings for each course the most, I am so done with family style tasting menus. Jordan and Michel were wonderful hosts and made for a memorable evening. The owner even attended our table, grating fresh truffles over one of our mains. ! Dang! very mindful of food preferences and allergies.

A new and unfamiliar cuisine and Suyo did not disappoint! Super flavourful dishes, amazing cocktails and great service. The restaurant was aesthetically pleasing and the bar was awesome. I was surprised at how low the noise level was making the dining experience much more enjoyable. 5 Stars

Absolutely fantastic: Peruvian restaurant with a vibrant atmosphere! I am so happy we visited this place. The Food was incredibly delicious: The rabbit dish was my favourite one. The drinks were interesting and thought through, with a lyric presentation. The bartenders knew exactly what they’re doing and were keen to chat, explain and joke— I loved the whole experience! 12/10!

The food was excellent. Their drinks were really good. They have a great selection of non alcoholic drinks. Our server was great. Gave us some great recommendations on food. Great vibe. Was able to find free parking one street down. The only thing was the place isn’t that big and can feel a little cramp.

What a way to have our very first Peruvian meal! Right from the top shelf! For the pretty penny you’re paying, you get an impressive presentation on the food and drinks, courteous service, detailed story-telling on the inspiration behind each dish and cocktail, and a steady hum of other diners having a good time. This place will sure to leave a lasting impression. Of the dinner my wife and I had, the Prawn Ceviche was the stand out. The blend of tangy and fruity notes for both the nose and palate, the eye-catching colours, and a unique texture of different corn kernels really whet the appetite for the rest of the night. The Bluefin Tuna Crab Causa is extremely popular across all the tables and was a sight to behold. The Grilled Trout and Pumpkin Ravioli each went down a treat to round out our meal. Finally, a few words on the cocktail bar. It’s renown for a reason. Their concoctions are a bit outside the box, and each of them served in memorable vessels. While we’ll leave the tale about the Japanese diaspora in Peru for the bar manager to tell, never before have we been served a drink out of a pointy conical cup implanted into a square container of raw rice grains (‘the Migrant’). Our other cocktail, named ‘Threads’, also had us feeling homesick with the Polynesian-style flax woven over the drinking glass. Kudos to the head chef and the team for realising their vision for this fine establishment. They shared this great thing so each of us could bring home our own story.

Absolutely loved this Peruvian restaurant. The atmosphere was warm and inviting with great vibes all around. Every dish and drink had its own unique twist and a story behind it, which made the whole experience even more special. Chef Ricardo truly knows his craft - the food was absolutely delicious. Big shoutout to bartenders Max and Adrian as well, who were not only skilled but super friendly and knowledgeable. If you're looking for a place that combines flavor, culture, and amazing service, this is it!

10 out of 10 amazing top notch experience. The cocktails were perfectly curated. Creative, bold, and well balanced. There's a variety ranging from light to strong so there's something for everybody. The cocktails are designed to reflect on Peruvian culture, history, archeology and ecosystem. I highly recommend trying Ritual, which is made with cows blood, served with a chicken heart along side to represent the animal sacrifices that were offerings to the gods in the Inca rituals. The flavour WILL surprise you. Our bartender explained that cow's blood is sweeter than we might assume and it was elevated with the guava used in the cocktail. We had the chefs tasting menu, and every course was perfect. The ingredients were incredibly fresh. None of the seafood was fishy. The trout was so soft and flavourful. The sauces paired perfectly with everything And presentation was beautiful. The service was really attentive and friendly. Everyone was professional, warm and welcoming. Our bartender was fantastic. He's clearly been doing this for a long time because watching him make drinks felt like watching an artist at work. He was great at making friendly banter and engaging conversation, while also giving me and my friend lots space to dine and converse. He made conversation with me while I was alone when my friend was in the washroom so I thought that was nice! Thank you! TLDR; Fantastic cocktails, food made to perfection, service is best in the city. Second time here and it has been very consistent with my first visit. I would never stop recommending this place.
